Saint Peter’s Basilica

Castel Sant’Angelo
Castel Sant’Angelo began life as the mausoleum of the Emperor Hadrian, built between 135 and 139 AD. Subsequent strongholds built on top of the mausoleum were in turn incorporated into a residence and castle by medieval Popes. The building was used as a prison until 1870, but now houses a museum.
Monument to Garibaldi

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. One of the best things to do in Lauterbrunnen in summer is to hike to the Trummelbach falls. These 10 falls of Trummelbach cascade into a cave and are also primarily famed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Lauterbrunnen Valley’s 72 waterfalls. To reach the top of the falls, you’ll have to walk through the cement pathway through a cavern which would take nearly 45 minutes. Or, you can also take a lift to the top and cherish the view of the Lauterbrunnen valley.
Harder Kulm top of Interlaken
If Interlaken had a king, he would reside on the Harder Kulm. From the viewing platform at 1,322 metres above sea level he would graciously look down upon Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, or admire the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. In fact, the Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant is reminiscent of a castle. In order to visit it, however, you don’t need to be a king – just take a seat in the cable car and ascend Interlaken’s own mountain.
